Elf: The Musical Cast List

Thank you and congratulations to all who auditioned over the past three days! The entire Production Team is thrilled to be staging this show with you, and it was so great to get the information we need to put this show on.

First, I hope you all feel proud of yourselves for auditioning. Auditioning can be an intimidating thing, but the only way to get better at it is to keep auditioning. Nailing your audition is an important part of the process, and we hope you learned a little about preparation and performance. I would be happy to meet with any cast member during camp to discuss their audition and provide feedback.

Next, we hope you spend the next week preparing for the show. We are using the rehearsal practice tool, RehearseScore. This can be found on the App Store. Please download this app and sign in using these credentials: Username: elfthemusical Password: 86072954. To download the app on Apple products click here, to download the app on Android products, click here. If you have any questions regarding RehearScore please reach out to our middle school coordinator at middleschoolctw@gmail.com.

Start listening to the songs, make the Broadway album in your Top 10 Spotify Wrapped, and invite your friends over to watch the movie a dozen times! Keep practicing the audition choreo and tap dance callback. Both sets will be used in the show!

We are also hosting an optional, but highly encouraged, read-through on Wednesday, June 11 at 5 p.m. in the Choir Room at DSHA. We’ll have an opportunity to read through the script, listen to the songs, and meet more of your castmates! Hope to see you there!

Middle school students who are listed in the Featured Ensemble should plan to attend camp on the high school track from noon-4 p.m. Please reach out to Zach Ziegler at zieglerz@dsha.info if this will be an issue. Librettos for these students will be available for pick up in the DSHA Main Office during normal office hours 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (Note that middle school students with lines but listed in the Middle School Ensemble may remain in the middle school track of 1 p.m.-4 p.m.).

Finally, all communication home to families will be done through the Band App. If you have not signed up yet, please do so here. We will help anyone get signed up at the Parent Info Meeting after our first rehearsal on Monday, June 16 from 4:15 p.m.-5 p.m.

Really and truly, a huge thank you to all of you who have signed up for this ride! We’re going to have so much fun celebrating Christmas in July with this heart-warming tale. We are so excited to see you on June 16.

About Community Theatre Works

DSHA's Community Theatre Works program (CTW) is an intensive, four-week summer rehearsal process that combines the talents of DSHA students and alumnae, middle school students, and community members.

Students in grades 5-12 work in tandem with local talent in a caring theatre environment that fosters mentoring, teaching, learning, and growing to produce a summer musical.

Students will experience all aspects of the production from auditions to rehearsals to full performances before eager audiences. Campers will even have exposure to the behind-the-scenes work of creating a set from scratch and how to collaborate with stage crew.
