CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations on your acceptance to the DSHA Class of 2029! We are so excited for you and your family to start at DSHA!

Please mark the following dates on your calendars and watch your email (and this webpage) for updated information about future opportunities for the class of 2029 to gather together.

  • DSHA Auction | Saturday, March 8

  • Class of 2029 Bash | Friday, April 4 | 6-8:30 p.m. at DSHA

    This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow classmates in a relaxed environment! You will participate in ice breakers and small and large group activities led by current DSHA students. 

    Dinner and snacks will be provided.

  • DSHA Parent Association Meeting | Tuesday, April 29 | 8:30 a.m. at DSHA

    DSHA Class of 2029 Parents are invited to the last PA meeting of the year! 

    The meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 29 at 8:30 a.m. in the Fireside Lounge at DSHA.

    The Parent Association is an excellent way for parents and guardians of DSHA students to get involved in their daughter’s high school experience. The association benefits our school community through educational programs, social functions, and faculty appreciation events. In addition, the PA provides vital volunteer and financial support for faculty appreciation events and Campus Ministry activities. Whether your commitment is small or large, all DSHA parents and guardians are encouraged to join the PA and stay connected and involved.

    Where to go:
    • Park in the visitor spots in the front school parking lot.
    • Check in at the main office, where you will be directed to the Fireside Lounge!
  • Future Dasher Night—Softball | Date TBD at DSHA

    Incoming class of 2029 students are invited to Future Dasher Night at DSHA Softball.

  • Math and World Language Placement Testing | Date TBD

    All students are required to take the math placement test and have the option to take a World Language placement test. It is recommended to take one placement test a day.  

    Math
    • All students will take the math placement test
    • For questions, please email Math Department Chair, Dawn Gardner at GardnerD@dsha.info
    World Language
    • Students who have experience with level one world language skills and are interested in being placed in level two or higher need to take the placement test.
    • Students who speak Spanish as a primary language at home and who want to take Spanish for Spanish Speakers language course need to take a placement test.

    FAQs
    • Does my daughter need to bring a calculator? Please bring your calculator for the math test. A scientific calculator is fine. 
    • Does my daughter need to bring a pencil? Yes please! 
    • When do we get the results?  Results will be emailed to the contact email used for SignUp Genius in approximately 2 weeks. 
    • If she is taking both the math and language test, which one does she take first DSHA has no preference--whichever test your daughter wants to take first is okay with us! 
    • Do I drop her off at the front entrance and pick her up at the front entrance? Yes, drop off and pick up in the front at door #1.  Students can call parents if they get done early.
     
  • Incoming Freshman Fun Night with MUHS | Friday, May 9

    The classes of 2029 from DSHA & MUHS are invited to this event to have some fun and meet some classmates before your first official day of school.

  • Dasher Mentors | June

    Your daughter's Dasher Mentors will be in touch in the beginning of June to introduce themselves and share upcoming plans for this spring and summer!

  • Incoming Freshman Ice Cream Social | Tuesday, June 10 | 6:30-8 p.m. at DSHA

    Class of 2029 parents and students, join us on Tuesday, June 10 from 6:30-8 p.m. at DSHA!

    Students - come meet your Dasher Mentor group and new classmates over ice cream! We will be out on the back field of DSHA (weather permitting).

    Parents - in-between drop-off and pick-up, you are invited to meet DSHA staff and other class of 2029 parents in the DSHA Commons. Beer and wine will be offered.

  • Dasher Resale—Used Book & Uniform Sale | Date TBD

    2025 Dasher Resale - Date TBD

    This is a one-day sale, where students and parents can pick up used Uniforms and Textbooks. This is a big event for the DSHA Community and an excellent opportunity for incoming freshmen to purchase uniform pieces and textbooks at a great price!

  • Athletic Online Registration

    More details to come in spring 2024. 
  • Student Check-In Day | Date TBD

    On Check-In Day all students “check-in” to the new school year. On this day, you will receive your student handbook, purchase a school lock, find and organize your locker, and have your school picture taken by VIP.

    Additional information will be sent this spring.
  • Freshman Orientation Day | Date TBD

    This is a full school day for freshman!

    Freshman Orientation Day allows you and your classmates to become acclimated to the school building and your daily schedule before the rest of the student body returns to school. Lunch is provided and no uniforms or class materials (backpacks) are required. On this day you will:
    • walk through your class schedule and meet your teachers.
    • participate in fun activities and ice breakers with upperclasswomen student leaders.
    • orient yourself to the building and technology.
    • pray with the DSHA community.
    Additional information will be sent this spring/summer.
  • First day of school for all students | Date TBD

    The first full day of school for all students is the Monday following Freshman Orientation Day.

Dasher Mentor Program

The Dasher Mentor program is designed to help you through your freshman year at DSHA. All freshmen are assigned to a small group (5-6 freshmen) with two Dasher Mentors (current DSHA students). Your Dasher Mentors will contact you in May to introduce themselves and organize opportunities for you to meet your fellow Dasher Mentor group members! 

Events are planned during the first few weeks of the school year, and your Dasher Mentors will continue to connect with you during your freshman year. Your Dasher Mentors are great resources for you as you begin your high school journey!
